Course Description
Lesson 1: This lesson provides the context to prevent alcohol-related harm from occurring to college students, both drinkers and non-drinkers.

Lesson 2: Alcohol has complex effects on the brain, body, and behavior. This lesson highlights the process by which alcohol enters the body, is absorbed and metabolized, and is distributed to most organs in the body.

Lesson 3: Why do impaired driving, unsafe sex, and violence seem to go hand-in-hand with heavy alcohol use? Alcohol-related expectancies are introduced, and the effects they have on our behavior are examined.

Lesson 4: This last lesson describes the difference between alcohol abuse and alcohol addiction (or alcoholism). The biological adaptations that characterize alcoholism are identified.
